Corey is a fractional HR Executive, facilitator, coach, and strategic advisor. He is a three-time Head of HR, sitting on multiple leadership teams and reporting to boards of directors. He brings over 15 years of experience in both consulting and evolving HR functions. He leads culture transformation mandates, develops leadership capacity, builds engaged, healthy cultures, and contributes to organizational effectiveness.
Corey’s areas of focus include HR strategy development, total rewards, leadership development, employee journey mapping, onboarding, employee engagement, progression frameworks, hybrid strategy, talent and succession planning, and career transition consulting.
Corey has worked with clients in various industries, including tech, start-up/scale-ups,eCommerce, engineering, financial services, not-for-profit, professional services, and automotive. Corey has held executive roles with Orangutech and Monkedia and leadership roles at Shopify. WSP, and GALE Partners. Corey has contributed as a speaker and writer on the topics of total rewards, leadership, culture, and performance management.
Corey holds a Master's in Organizational Psychology from the University of Waterloo and an Honours Degree in Psychology from York University. He has completed an HRExecutives Accelerator program led by the great Lars Schmidt of Amplify Talent and an Adult Learning and Development certificate from the University of Toronto. Corey is an Executive Coach certified by the Certified Coaches Federation.
